CareVA Celebrates National Rehab Awareness Week 2018!

Join our communities as we celebrate this year’s National Rehab Awareness Week, September 16-22! Each year, rehabilitation providers come together to celebrate the powers of rehabilitation and share the message that there is hope, achievement and success.

CareVA is proud to join the nation in celebrating National Rehabilitation Awareness Week. This is a week-long celebration is designed to educate people about the benefits of rehabilitation and the capabilities of people with disabilities. Our therapists work very hard to help those who have illnesses or injuries live up to their best abilities through rehabilitation.

Post acute rehabilitation helps patients who have a physical or cognitive deficit from disease or injury. CareVA compassionately restores independence and renews life. We offer skilled nursing services, nutritional services, occupational therapy, physical therapy, social service, speech and language pathology and therapeutic recreation. Our Centers specializes in rehabilitation from:

– Stroke
– Orthopedic and cardiac conditions/surgeries
– Neuromuscular and neurological diseases
– Amputation
– Pain and general debilitation
– Arthritis
– Medically complex and post-fall complications

Rehabilitation is defined as the restoration of an ill or injured person to self-sufficiency. The philosophy of CareVA is that each patient/resident has the right to attain the highest level of independence, focusing not on the disabilities, but on ABILITIES.

The mission of the National Rehabilitation Awareness Foundation (NRAF) is to educate people about the benefits and impact of rehabilitation, develop programs to increase opportunities for Americans with disabilities, and help those who are disabled live up to their fullest potential.
